Policy Analysis, Leadership, & Strategic Management

Programme description & objectives

Programme description & objectives This program is structured to take delegates through current macroeconomic policies in the context of leadership strategies. Essentially, the program is designed to empower leaders and decision-makers with the critical tools and insights required to thrive in prevailing complex, dynamic, fast and ever-evolving socio-economic environments. Marked by rapid policy shifts, heightened responsibility and accountability, and increased stakeholder expectations, organizations in today’s dynamic business environment need more than operational efficiency. Rather, they require visionary leadership, strategic agility, and the ability to analyze and influence policies effectively. Building on the above, delegates will be guided through the procedures for applying appropriate techniques necessary and required to analyze and manage sectoral policies and programs. Anchored by experienced faculty members, we will analyze the effects and impacts of effective leadership on issues pertaining to changes in macroeconomic policies across different sectors of the economy. Delegates will also broaden their views on procedures for tracking developments in the implementation of sectoral policies. Essentially, the program will be premised on the below tripod: Policy Analysis: We will explore how policies are formulated, evaluated, and implemented - and how organizations can engage in evidence-based policy design. Delegates will expand and enhance their knowledge to assess the implications of policy choices and drive better outcomes for organizations and society at large. Leadership: Leadership is more than authority; it is about vision, influence, adaptability, and ethical decision-making. Delegates will gain practical frameworks for leading high-performing teams, navigating change, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. Strategic Management: Here, we will dive into the art and science of setting long-term goals, aligning resources, and making informed decisions that position the organization for sustained success. Strategic thinking will be linked to execution aimed at ensuring the design of smart strategies and the delivery of measurable results.
