Program description & objectives

This program is powerfully packed, and would be analytically delivered to assist participants spot weaknesses in project packages, and to be able to select the best structure that will lead to a realistic “financial close”. On another hand, the seminar delves into the tough terrain of the most potent strategies that organizations can adopt to ensure the prompt recovery of their initial capital outlays. At the end of the sessions, it is expected that delegates would have developed the skills necessary to build risk identification and analysis systems that are able to tackle any project financing and capital recovery package. Additionally, delegates would gain ideas on how to cut down on the third-party costs and be able to work out which funding market to approach. Delegates to this seminar would also be taken through the latest in Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and other relevant Financial Project Management concepts, and the expectations of the financiers. Finally, the program would touch base with negotiation skills and tactics aimed at preparing delegates on how to achieve the best possible deal through the reduction of time and cost. On the final day, delegates would embark on a guided excursion of selected on-going projects to further hone the class discussions. Delegates would engage directly with Project Directors so as to get a first-hand feels and to be able to ask relevant practical questions.
